If ORO Bank is full reserve, how does money get generated to pay the interest for the FTD?
If ORO Bank is full reserve, how does money get generated to pay the interest for the FTD?
Updated over a month ago

ORO Bank does not use any money deposited by customers into their full reserve accounts.

Customers participate in the Fixed-Term Deposit by transferring funds from their full reserve accounts into the FTD accounts.

ORO Bank then uses these funds to purchase the underlying Gelephu International Airport Bond from GIDC.

GIDC then uses the funds over the ten years to pay for the construction of the Gelephu International Airport. Since GIDC does not have to pay all of the airport expenses at once, they will use a portion of the funds as allowed by regulations to generate interest, which will in turned be used to pay the interest to customers participating in the FTD.
