Send money in the Ria app
Step 1: Get Ria app
Step 2: Create and verify your account
Open the Ria app and tap Sign Up.
Enter your email address, choose a password, and confirm both.
Provide your personal information, such as full name, date of birth, and address, as prompted.
Check your email for a verification link sent by Ria and click the link to activate your account.
At this stage, Ria may require additional information to verify your identity. This ensures secure transactions and compliance with international transfer regulations. You may be asked to upload a photo of a valid ID (passport or driver’s license) and confirm your contact information.
Step 3: Initiate a transfer
Log in to your Ria account using your email and password.
Tap the Send Money button prominently displayed on the home screen.
Choose the destination country for your transfer.
Enter the amount you’d like to send. The app will display the applicable exchange rate and any service fees upfront.
Step 4: Enter Payment and Recipient Details
Available Payment Methods
Bank account: While bank transfers might take a bit longer compared to other methods, they offer a dependable way to send larger amounts of money.
Credit card: Using a credit card for your transfers is one of the fastest methods available, allowing recipients to receive funds in minutes.
Debit card: This method combines the speed of credit card transactions with the directness of bank account transfers.
Adding Recipient Information
Enter the recipient’s details, such as their full name (as per their government ID) and contact numbers.
Provide their ORO Bank account details
Step 5: Confirm and Track your transfer
After double-checking all the details entered, confirm the transaction. The app will generate a receipt with all the important information, including a unique reference number.
How to Track Your Transfer
The Ria app allows you to monitor your money as it travels to the recipient. Use our easy Track a Transfer tool or follow these steps:
Go to the Transaction History section of the app.
Look for the transfer you just made and tap to view its detailed status.
The app will update you once the recipient has collected the funds or a deposit has been completed.
Send money in person, at Ria location
Step 1: Find Ria location
Use Ria's locator tool to find a Ria location near you.
You will need to have your valid government ID to make a transfer in person.
Step 2: Speak to an Agent in store
Give the Ria agent your ID and the details of your transfer, including the country you're sending to and the currencies you're dealing in, to learn about exchange rates and fees.
Step 3: Provide your recipient's details
Pay an existing recipient or add someone new.
Step 4: Pay for your transfer
Choose one of your existing payment methods or add a new one: Pay with cash, debit card, credit card, or bank account.
Step 5: Hang on to your receipt
Your receipt will contain important information such as your transfer PIN, so make sure you save it.
PIN or order number will be use to track the status of the transfer
